One of the things I love best about the BE Story Club comics is the expressions of envy, anxiety or fear shown by the small-breasted girls while in the presence of large-breasted girls. The disparity between the busty girls’ confidence and the skittishness of the itty-bitty-titty committee members is a delightful parody of female group dynamics and it makes their eventual transformation satisfying on multiple levels.
Aside from the amazing artwork [see panel above] another great element in Island of Dreams is the element of mind control. One of the main characters is a super-busty nympho who started out as a flat-chested lesbian, only to fall under the sway of an evil, breast-enlarging mad scientist/corporate titan.
Seriously: what would Lex Luthor really do with his super-science, if not create an army of ultra-busty sex slaves? That’s the id unleashed, right there: Charles Manson meets Russ Meyer. You wouldn’t even really have to be a sociopath to do it – if you had the know-how, you’d probably do it, too!
